| How much do lighting and camera settings affect color typing? |
| I am having trouble separating Deep Winter from Deep Summer because the obvious signs do not all point in one direction. My hair and brows are quite dark but my eyes are lighter and slightly muted rather than bright. Black is acceptable but can look severe while charcoal and deep navy are easier. Dusty blue looks calm but sometimes dull so softness alone has not settled the question. I organized my test drapes around a deep winter color palette and selected comparable summer shades rather than judging unrelated colors. So far, icy pink seems clearer than mauve but cobalt is much stronger on me than smoky blue. I took the photos in indirect daylight without makeup and kept the camera exposure fixed. Is it possible for depth to lead while the overall season remains Summer or do the clearer colors carry more weight than eye softness? Which controlled color pairs would help resolve this before spending money on a professional consultation? |
